The Teric from Canada's Shearwater Research is a complete technical dive computer with the recreational diver in mind. The Teric includes open and closed circuit Air, Nitrox and Trimix multi-gas capabilities and a three-axis tilt-compensated digital compass. It features recreational, instrumented, freediving, open circuit techniques and closed circuit/exit modes. Teric is also very configurable; for example, you can set up a button that lets you access different tools with one press, such as a compass, stopwatch, countdown timer, and more. There are tactile (vibration) and audible alarms that can be disabled (also without) to prevent them from being annoying to other nearby divers. The Teric offers an information screen that utilizes a {1.3 in | 35 mm} full-color AMOLED display, a {diameter x height | 55 mm x 18 mm} body and a {4.2 oz | 4.2 oz} weight. Teric can provide time-to-surface timing based on a planned "look ahead" of the gas switch. Multiple gas definition presets are supported for any combination of oxygen, nitrogen and helium. Teric does not "lock" after a missed stop or ramp rate violation. After a dive, Teric connects via Bluetooth communication to the Shearwater Cloud dive log manager, which is compatible with MS Windows, OS X, iOS and Android devices and supports wireless log downloads and firmware updates. Teric supports hoseless air pressure integration, sometimes called air integration (AI). The Teric is able to connect wirelessly to one or two optional transmitters, allowing divers to monitor up to two tank pressures. It is also able to calculate the time remaining (GTR) on a given tank. Air integration is available in all modes, from OC Rec to CC/BO. Tank pressure (PSI or BAR and GTR) can be displayed on custom slots on the main display, or accessed via the underlying information screen.
